Mumbai: In the final match of the Duleep Trophy tournament, Ajinkya Rahane-led Western Division defeated South Division by 294 runs to win the title. The defeat of the South Division was sealed from the beginning of the fifth day. Chasing West’s mountain-like score of 529 runs, South’s team got out for just 234 runs. The Western Division has managed to win the title after 12 years. Captain Ajinkya Rahane is going to return to Team India after this big win.
Ajinkya Rahane’s statement on comeback
Rahane was shown the way out of Team India earlier this year after battling consistently poor form. After that he was not in good form in Ranji and IPL also. But now after leading the team to the title in the Duleep Trophy, it is expected that he will be able to return to Team India once again.
However, the statement of this veteran batsman now shows that he himself is not in the mood to return to Team India.
After winning the Duleep Trophy, Ajinkya Rahane said, “Really happy with the way we played. The way everyone contributed was fantastic.
