This day is celebrated once in the spring i.e. usually in April-May (spring season) and once in the autumn i.e. in the month of October-November (autumn). Because the sky is clear during this time. The day is observed so that astronomy lovers regularly observe the sky and witness the celestial wonders of the universe.
What is Astronomy?
Astronomy is the study of everything in the universe beyond Earth’s home region, the atmosphere. This includes the Sun, Moon, planets and stars that we can see with our naked eyes. It also includes the study of objects visible through binoculars or other instruments. Distant galaxies, countless galaxies, recently photographed black holes, nebulae, comets, the asteroid belt and dust particles make up the study of everything in space.

- observational astronomy (Observational Astronomy): Study of space in the dark of night with the help of telescopes and cameras
- theoretical astronomy (theoretical astronomy): based on all observations and data

- atmospheric science (atmospheric science) : Study of Atmosphere and Climate
- exoplanetology (exoplanetology) – Study of different planets outside the solar system

Which course should I choose to become an Astronomer?
A doctoral degree in physics or astronomy is required to become a research astronomer. Completed 12th Science with Physics/Applied Physics with B.Sc. Also you can do master degree in MSc in Physics.
