The electric car, a dream playground for car designers

Yellow, orange, green, blue… In a global automotive market where grey, white and black predominate, the pop colors of the all-new ID. Volkswagen’s Buzz (revival of the iconic 1960s Combi) blows like a wind of freedom. This same wind felt after the war (at the time of the birth of the Combi) but that fifty years of thermal habits and customs (impassable architecture of the engine at the front in the vast majority of cases, organized secular rhythm of life around the revisions…) have slowly curbed.

That was before the electricity fairy bent over the cradle of bodywork and, in a few short years, cheered up or even revived the industry. Today, all engineers and designers agree on one point: we are at the greatest turning point in the history of the automotive industry.
